Celebrating My 30th Birthday

You only turn 30 once, and that is why I decided to throw an extravagant, yet intimate dinner party to celebrate. GlamSquad co-hosted the dinner party for 30 of my closest girlfriends, which included women from all walks of life. I wanted to get this group of girls together to not only celebrate this milestone in my life, but to network with each other and create an environment for us to uplift and support one another.

Every single guest was amazing at what she does. From bloggers, to editors, to publicists, to on-air personalities, these women are successfully juggling the not-so-easy work/life balance with ease and grace.

The party was held on the rooftop of the Petit Ermitage Hotel, which is a boutique hotel nestled in the heart of West Hollywood. Once you step foot inside this sanctuary, you feel as if you were miraculously transported to the South of France.

All of the guests arrived around 7pm for a welcome cocktail hour to mix, meet, and mingle. We then were seated at a gigantic square table (this configuration was very important to me, as I wanted everyone to be able to see each other, unlike at long rectangular tables.) We enjoyed great wine and amazing food, along with deep conversation and a ton of laughs.

I made a toast, acknowledging my gratitude for every single woman there, and expressed my interest in having everyone connect. I asked each girl to go around the table and introduce themselves, explain what they do and why they do it, and give one beauty tip. It was such an empowering experience, listening to these incredible women share their passions and advice with each other. A stark contrast to many events I have attended where women are catty, unfriendly, and oftentimes pitted against one another.

I am thankful to have hosted such a memorable night, and beyond grateful to everyone who was involved.

A big thank you to the photographer, Rachel Owens, my co-host, GlamSquad, the floral centerpiece masters, BloomNation, and all of my brand partners for the swanky gift bags each girl took home.

I hope that I am surrounded by this group of girls for many, many years to come.
